{"id":10,"date":"2010-05-04T05:07:20","date_gmt":"2010-05-04T10:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uptimerobot.com\/blog\/?p=8"},"modified":"2025-11-13T15:26:53","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T15:26:53","slug":"twitter-support-for-receiving-alerts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uptimerobot.com\/blog\/twitter-support-for-receiving-alerts\/","title":{"rendered":"Twitter Support For Receiving Alerts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Few weeks ago, Twitter approved our request for getting whitelisted to use their API, so we wouldn&#8217;t be limited with the standard daily API usage limits.<\/p>\n<p>And, <strong>we just activated the Twitter integration<\/strong> for <strong>getting the up\/down alerts via Twitter DMs<\/strong> (direct messages).<\/p>\n<h3>The usage is very simple:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/uptimerobot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@uptimerobot<\/a> Twitter user (so, it can send DMs)<\/li>\n<li>Go to &#8220;My Settings&#8221; page<\/li>\n<li>Under &#8220;Add Alert Contacts&#8221;, click Twitter<\/li>\n<li>Enter your Twitter user (without @)<\/li>\n<li>Activate this alert contact by pressing the &#8220;play button&#8221; inside the table listing your alert contacts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s it.
