Some have <strong>various\u00a0tasks that cause downtime<\/strong>\u00a0like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>backups<\/li>\n<li>batch jobs<\/li>\n<li>restarts<\/li>\n<li>upgrades<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Uptime Robot now has a new feature (<strong>for the <a href=\"http:\/\/uptimerobot.com\/pricing\">Pro Plan<\/a><\/strong>) to <strong>handle such one-time or regular downtimes nicely<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<h3>Maintenance Windows<\/h3>\n<p>The feature is for easily defining <strong>once or recurring &#8220;do-not-monitor periods&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As an example, we can now set a Maintenance Window that will start &#8220;Every Tuesday at 22:35 and run for 20 minutes&#8221;. Uptime Robot will stop the monitoring as 22:35 and resume it 20 minutes later so that you <strong>don&#8217;t get any &#8220;expected notifications&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-268\" src=\"https:\/\/uptimerobot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/maintenance-windows.gif\" alt=\"Maintennace Windows\" width=\"800\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It has support for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>once<\/li>\n<li>daily<\/li>\n<li>weekly<\/li>\n<li>monthly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>schedules.
