And, in some cases, this emergency can be a website or server going down.<\/p>\n<p>Today, <strong>voice call notification<\/strong>\u00a0is added to Uptime Robot and\u00a0it\u00a0can be very helpful\u00a0when we want to make sure that a notification is heard :).<\/p>\n<h3>How to add voice call alert contacts?<\/h3>\n<p>They are added just like other alert contacts with the steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My Settings&gt;Alert Contacts&gt;New&gt;Voice Call<\/li>\n<li>Once the number is added, an automated call will\u00a0reach\u00a0instantly to deliver an activation code.<\/li>\n<li>Click the lock icon besides this newly created alert contact and enter the activation code received in the automated call.<\/li>\n<li>And, attach this alert contact to the monitors of your choice from the add\/edit monitor dialogs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Suggested use<\/h3>\n<p>No one\u00a0prefers\u00a0to get disturbed and there are ways to make sure the voice calls are\u00a0received only when there is an important downtime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uptime Robot<\/strong> has an <a href=\"https:\/\/uptimerobot.com\/blog\/new-feature-advanced-notification-options-for-the-pro-plan\/\">advanced notifications feature<\/a> (in the Pro Plan) to get\u00a0notified only when the downtime is longer than x minutes and using this feature together with the voice calls will be a smart choice.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, it may only be the &#8220;voice calls for the down notifications&#8221; that we prefer to get.
