After <\/span>adding new features in June<\/span><\/a> we worked on fixing some minor bugs and improving the stability of our service.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re happy to announce that besides those fixes, we were also able to introduce a major update to our heartbeat (background job) monitoring. It was requested by many, so let\u2019s take a look at the details!<\/span><\/p>\n

Support for longer intervals<\/span><\/h3>\n

All of you who asked for longer than <\/span>24-hour<\/span><\/i> intervals for your <\/span>weekly or monthly recurring jobs<\/b>, behold!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can now increase your heartbeat monitoring intervals up to <\/span>31 days<\/span><\/i>! This should cover all the usual use-cases so there is now no excuse to not monitor all of your recurring jobs like backup scripts, SSL renewals and others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grace period<\/span><\/h3>\n

The second update for heartbeat monitoring <\/span>lets you customize the grace period<\/b> for your monitor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is useful for jobs with varying runtime to prevent false positives. It\u2019s pretty common especially with the once-a-week \/ once-a-month jobs which are now supported as mentioned in the previous section.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PRO Tip: Grace period of 1 hour will add a 1-hour buffer to the monitoring interval before considering it as an outage.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

API Rate Limits<\/span><\/h2>\n

In July we also updated the rate limits for our API which apply to all users and are based on the specific Plan of the account. Here are the numbers:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Free Plans<\/b> rate limits: <\/span>10 requests\/minute<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

PRO Plans<\/b> rate limits: <user_plan> x <\/span>2 requests\/minute<\/span><\/i>. <\/span>Maximum<\/b>: <\/span>5,000 requests\/minute<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Example<\/span><\/i>: If you\u2019re on a 50-monitor PRO Plan, your limits are 100 requests per minute.<\/span><\/p>\n
