Getting the notifications inside the team communication app you use can make things easy as this may be where you’ll be discussing how to make that website/server back online.

Microsoft Teams

Besides the Slack integration, Uptime Robot now has support for Microsoft Teams too.

It simply works by creating an incoming webhook URL at the Teams app and creating a new alert contact at Uptime Robot (My Settings>Alert Contacts>New) using this webhook URL.

After that, just attach this alert contact to the monitors of your choice and the notifications will be delivered to the preferred team.

For the URL to notify webhook, the webhook URL I received from Teams did not end in a "?" or "&"

Any ideas?

Umut Muhaddisoglu Oct 18, 2018 at 7:40 pm

No need for adding it as a webhook but it can now be added from My Settings>Alert Contacts>New>Microsoft Teams.

No link to instructions?

Umut Muhaddisoglu Oct 18, 2018 at 6:02 pm

The instructions are shared/displayed in the My Settings>Alert Contacts>New>Microsoft Teams dialog.

Whilst adding the webhook as a contact in Uptime Robot Settings, I fell into the trap, during 'Settings->Add Alert Contact-> Alert Contact Type (Please Select) of selecting 'Standard Method->Webhook'. I don't know what came over me. I should have scrolled down and the '3rd Party Apps/Services->Microsoft Teams to enter the webhook details. Then it worked end to end with Teams.

Can you add it from Settings->Add Alert Contact-> Alert Contact Type-> MS Teams and it must work as expected?

Karol Dec 28, 2018 at 11:34 am

Hello,
I added my webhook to uptimerobot and I get first message:

An Uptime Robot alert contact is now successfully added for this room/user.

but if my website is down or up I get monitor alert only on my email, not for MS Teams.

1. I added contact
2. I added connector in Teams

What is wrong?

Umut Muhaddisoglu Feb 27, 2019 at 11:34 am

Can you also make sure that the alert contact is attached to the monitors from add/edit monitor dialogs?

Marc Jun 6, 2019 at 11:34 am

I have the same problem.

Received a message An Uptime Robot alert contact is now successfully added for this room/user. But no alerts.

I made sure that the contact is attached to the monitor

What is going wrong here?
