An incident on their side does not always mean an outage on yours, and the only way to know is to already be watching your own endpoints. Set that up in under a minute and you will be notified the next time your own site is affected. And there will be a next time.

What happened?
The incident started at 14:08 UTC, when HubSpot reported that its Salesforce integration had become unexpectedly disconnected for some customers, showing as unavailable in the App Marketplace. HubSpot's own timeline, given later, says the problem actually began at 9:26AM EDT, which is 13:26 UTC, so the first public update came roughly 40 minutes after the fault had already started. Over the following six hours HubSpot posted five more "identified" updates, each repeating that the cause was still being addressed and that full functionality was not yet restored. No root cause was named in any of these interim updates, only reassurances that work was ongoing and estimates of when the next update would arrive. The resolution notice at 21:26 UTC finally explained what happened: a bad system configuration change on HubSpot's side knocked out the Salesforce integration for customers in North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. HubSpot stated that systems were working properly again as of 05:21 PM EDT, which is 21:21 UTC, and that the incident was fully resolved. Only one component is listed as affected: Integrations. No user reports were filed during the window on this page. HubSpot said it would conduct a review after the incident, but as of this update no separate post-mortem has been published beyond that one line. For context, HubSpot has logged 12 incidents in the past 90 days with a median duration of 1 hour 42 minutes, so this outage ran well past HubSpot's typical recovery time.
Learning
This outage sat entirely inside HubSpot's integration layer, the handshake between HubSpot and Salesforce, not in anything you control on your own end. A configuration change on HubSpot's side broke that handshake, and no amount of checking your own CRM fields, workflows or API keys would have shown you why data stopped syncing. That is also exactly the kind of fault an uptime check on your own site would never catch, because your pages and forms kept loading fine while the integration quietly failed behind them. Over the past 30 days UptimeRobot recorded 5 incidents on HubSpot with a median duration of 1h 23m, all resolved, which is a different vantage point to HubSpot's own 90-day median of 1 hour 42 minutes, and the two numbers can both be right since they're watching different things. Your monitoring tells you your half is fine. UptimeRobot now watches HubSpot's half too, so next time something breaks you know which side it is without guessing.
